Dark nights Empty
PostSubject: Dark nights   Dark nights EmptySat Oct 28, 2006 3:16 am

Now the dak nights are drawing in we have to start thinking about safety when walking our dogs in the dark.

Reflective coats and collars are good but can be expensive. The other day whilst shopping in our local Aldi I spotted some walkers armbands they are reflective and have flashing red lights. They are elasticated strips and fasten with velcro and the best thing were cheap just £4 for a pck of 4.

William wears 2 as the reflective strip only goes halfway round his neck but the whippets and Zoe only need to wear 1 each. Some one I know saw me walking William the other morning at 5.30 am with them on and said he really stood out even her taxi driver said about how easy he was to spot.

Here's a picture of William wearing them I had to take it in the house and with my phone so its not brilliant

am considering getting some, but i might get some reflective rein bands (for horses) as you can put the collar through it and they are cheap!
